Yellow Water Billabong

Yellow Water Billabong, Kakadu's most famous wetland, is located at the end of Jim Jim Creek, a tributary of the South Alligator River. The river system, which is the largest in Kakadu, contains extensive wetlands that include river channels, floodplains and backwater swamps.

Australia wildlife

Leaving outside the metropolis, you find yourself in a eucalyptus forest. All familiar with the refreshing aroma of childhood - the smell is very Australian. More than 90% of the vegetation of the continent consists of different kinds of eucalyptus. Age-old forests - places shelter hundreds of species of animals and, of course, the best known and loved all the koalas.


Right on the roadside trees slowly chewing eucalyptus leaves absolutely charming teddy bears. Most of the day koalas sleep, hiding from the scorching sun in the Australian eucalyptus leaves, and only occasionally darting from tree to tree.





Cloudless existence of koalas violate danger due to forest fires and disease. Nearly 70% of the population suffer from chlamydia, which strongly affects the ability to reproduce. More than half of the males - are infertile, the vast number of females as well. Australians care about Koalas in all possible ways. Healthy females are caught and artificially inseminate to restore the population.

Netball

Netball - high-speed game that requires from player the ability to relax and high mobility, and a well developed ability to "read" the game and ability to withstand pressure.


In 1891, James Naismith gave the world a new game - basketball, which quickly gained popularity in the U.S.A.

A few years later, in 1893, swedish Martina Bergman-Österberg described softer 'feminine' rules of basketball, giving the world a game called "netball». Netball soon spread to England, and was then exported to the countries of the British Empire, including Australia and New Zealand.


Basic rules of the game in netball: 

 - The game takes place between two teams of seven people each, who are trying to throw the ball into the goal (basket) the opponent 
 - The game lasts for four 15-minute period with a 3-minute breaks 
- The game is judged two judges 
- All players rush carried out without the ball, dribbling and running with the ball are prohibited 
- You can throw the ball to one or two hands, the game kicked banned 
- The ball is in the hands of the player is not more than 3 seconds.
- Area is divided into three parts, with the gate keeper is the circle
